PF representatives visit Azerbaijan

Natia Turnava, Deputy CEO at the Partnership Fund (PF), Temur Mikiashvili, Engineer-consultant of the Partnership Fund, Zakaria Avaliani, Technical Director of The Georgian Oil & Gas Corporation (GOGC) and Giorgi Abramishvili, General Director of Gardabani thermal power plant paid an official visit to Azerbaijan to get acquainted with the operation of Sumgayt, combined cycle thermal power plant. For PF getting information about Sumgayt Plant’s operation is important as Georgia is also building a thermal power plant in Gardabani. Sumgayt, combined cycle thermal power plant which has capacity of 520 mw was put into operation in 2009. The Azerbaijani side offered to their Georgian colleagues to train specialists and provide intensive consultations.The 230 mw Gardabani combined cycle thermal power plant will be completed in 2015. The project is implemented jointly by the PF and GOGC, its daughter company. Çalık Enerji, a Turkish giant energy company carries out construction works. The power plant will be fully operated by Georgia.
